I moved to SF 8 years ago,
to be closer to my lady
and pursue an entertainment career
other than extra work,
side act for bands,
or Disney/Knott's.
I love SF, and I've not missed
the hours stuck on freeways,
road ragers who think that the world
must bend to their will because
they're too important to be stuck in traffic,
and conformity of it all.
However, I do miss avocados 10 for a dollar...

And you know the phrase, "I left my heart in San Francisco"?? well yeah, i actually did leave my heart in SF. Here's why::
When I was there, i fell deeply in love, and of course, i was young, and it didn't work out. Then over the next 2 years, I had my heart smashed and crushed repeatedly. So yeah, since my heart was now broken into about a trillion pieces, I figured it's easier to just leave it there, than to try to pick up all the pieces and move on. So that's that!
Other than that, I decided to kill two birds with one stone, and run away from my problems, while also exploring the world.
I find myself in the solitudes of my dorm room in Medical School in Poland. :-)
How's that for escaping the comercialism and luxuries of Orange County??!!

The school was a joke, at least the department that I was in. I wish I could come up with something positive about the experience, but right from the start, it was a mess. Such is life. You live and you learn. -

[I'm a clinical social worker who has donated ("pro-bono") over 95% of my services as a counselor and psychotheraspist with youth and family (many who were totally "out-of bounds" and/or their close loved-ones. ] What would you do? I've moved to three different cities in NorCal and this crazy stalking evil bitch is pure full out out-of-control (and at very high risk for homicide, me being the victim). She's calling me things like "faggott, alcoholic child molester who f***ks kids up the a*******s;", Needless to say, these statements are about defamation of character and an outrageous attack on my reputation and my ability to have the opportunity to work with the population I most deeply connect with.
So I moved out of a clone city named Santa Rosa, CA into this awesome "town" named Monte Rio, in the redwoods about 50 miles north of S.F and 4 miles from the coast where I can live alone for the first time in my life...so what would you do if faced with this situation? -

Fri, November 24, 2006 - 8:41 AMWell, I'm getting ready to move. My first real move away from North Carolina. I've lived here all my life. I'm getting married to a military man. I've changed so much since we met when I was sixteen, and so has he. I don't think he know what he'll really be standing for or the commitment that he's making. I love him, though and I need to be there with him when he figures it all out and grows into himself. We're moving across the country to California. It's beautiful there, and if anything, I will get to feed my soul, get away from some things that hurt me, that I've worked through, but are still here, in this place and this town. I'm so green, even though I've lived through a lot, that when I look out to the future, it just seems bright and new.

Tue, July 31, 2007 - 9:09 AMI moved east of SF (Walnut Creek) in 2002 and been here ever since. My family's still in Anaheim (Anaheim Hills/Orange Border). I grew up in Villa Park.
But I did work at Disneyland from 1989-1991 -- I really enjoyed working there -- It was a great party job.
I don't miss the 20 hour week commutes either... -
