I'm a transplant to South OC by way of Long Beach, San Francisco, and Dallas before that.
I have been struggling to find a low-key, like-minded group of friends since I moved to California, and it seems everyone is very busy and it is difficult to meet people. What's up with that?

I'm a homebody, too. I think that may have something to do with the fact that we find it difficult to meet people.
Do you surf? I have never tried it myself, but I would love tips from somebody who knows.

It used to be lowkey,and a really nice easy going place.I grew up in Huntington Beach,when the population was 38k
A house cost 21k.
And there was NO Central Park,And NOTHING but oilwells from Edwards Hill to the beach.
those days are long gone.
I'm not there anymore,I had my days.
But I'm sure you can find a pocket to fit in there the way you like.
Always room in OC.
