I live in SF, my boyfriend is in OC (Costa Mesa area). I come down there on the weekends, and am looking for some fun freaks for us to hang out with. Any poly people down there? Pervs, queers, kinksters or freaks? Hell, I'd settle for some health food fanatics - just a few people that I can hang out with that don't look at us like we have two heads...

Sun, October 10, 2004 - 2:48 PMactually i believe that that gay population is Laguna isn't as big anymore I don't think. I think it's becoming to gentrified. I hear laguna beach is becoming quite a cool place to go.
the bars are cool and more chill there. it's not quite OC, but it's close, just right up "the" 405. The bars are shorts and flip-flops, it's pretty cool really. It's a casual crowd. I like it.
I think most people generally won't be used to anything too radical. Whereas in SF, things may seem commonplace, in OC, even simple things can attract a lot of stares.
anyway, that's my input. Here I am in eastern europe, you can tell how well I resonated witih OC. heh heh heh

Fri, October 15, 2004 - 9:53 PMLots of Poly people in the OC area. Check out the links at www.polyamory.org for the OC area stuff. Last I checked there were 6-7 Poly orginizations in the Greater SoCal region.
Off the top of my head, the L.A.P.S group alternates it's meetings from Willmington to La Palma/Garden Grove. There are huge Poly/Furry/Bi household in Garden Grove, and another in the Irvine/Costa Mesa area. Though I have no info on current events.
Also, next weekend (10/22-10/24) in Laguna Beach is a large Poly Conference ( www.worldpolyamoryassociation.com/con...html ).
And up in LA (worth the drive) is Live the Dream ( www.livethedream.org ) with lots of events. The woman that runs LtD is one of the presenters at the Laguna conference (9pm Sat I believe).
And yes, I'm always happy to meet more Poly folk, so please keep in touch.
Oh, for a couple of more happenings... Nov 19-21 Glen Eden Sun Club (in Corona, not specificly Poly but 2nd home of a number of Poly folk including the heads of the Tranquility Bay BM camp) is doing a RenFaire themed weekend, thats a fairly easy drive from CM. And the LA regional Science Fiction Convention is at the LAX Marriott Thanksgiving weekend. LtD will be hosting a meet & greet on Sun @11am.
